When Katrina arrived, she brought with her a heavy energy, unmistakably charged the entire room. Her vessel is a 29 inch antique, straw-filled doll with hair wig that has never been styled or brushed. And she prefers it that way. She doesn’t like to be groomed. She carries herself as she is, hauntingly active!

I connected with Katrina early on through telepathy, divination and readings. Though her exact age is unclear, I feel like she’s an older woman, likely in her fifties. Her energy is palpable, she’s a watchful spirit. Through reading her, I gathered she died during Hurricane Katrina. I do not know all the details of her life, only that it ended in water and chaos in the storm. She’s aware of her passing, and can confirm most things you may ask her during your sessions dear.

She was passed along to me from a fellow collector who lived just across from a cemetery. She had been kept among many other haunted dolls, but Katrina’s presence stood apart. She isn’t shy, and doesn’t mind being recorded or when meeting new people. Even while sitting in the doll room, watching over my younger spirits there’s a eerie feeling that comes over you. Something about her feels unfinished but not dangerous, dear.

This is the only vessel I believe Katrina has ever occupied. She has shown no signs of desiring transfer or movement into another vessel. She wants to be kept exactly as she is. Do not groom her okay dear.

Katrina does not demand constant interaction, but she conversation from time to time. She is concerned a friendly spirit, safe around pets, children and other beloveds. Her energy can shift a room when she’s stirred, f no apparent reason, lowering temperatures, creating a heaviness in the air, or sparking flickers of motion in your peripheral vision of her orbs and apparition shadows. At times, she has sent whisper, her thoughts, quick impressions of how she’s feeling or flashes of words, directly into my mind during readings. Her presence is strongest in the daytime, especially when the house is active and there’s much for her to observe.

Her activity includes: Clear telepathic communication with you, in dreams or direct. Temperature drops and untamed chest pressure can occur with shifts of your own energy. She isn’t trying to harm you, she’s just an intense presence. Flickers of movement around her vessel. Energy spikes during storms or rain. Her activities increase during raining season. A sensation of being watched, but never harmed. You’ll feel Katrina following you around and a feeling of her looking at you while you lay down to sleep. I think beloved Katrina is a watcher. She observes more than she interacts, but when she chooses to speak, she speaks with intention. She’s shown no signs of aggression or mischief. She does, however, seem to serve as a sort of gatekeeper among other spirits, particularly the younger ones. She holds space, commands quiet, and brings a deeply maternal energy into the room. I’ve never seen her tolerate chaos from the living or the other beloveds.

She prefers a peaceful home, a quiet corner, and a keeper who honors the energy of vintage and antique spirits. She’s not for casual collectors or those looking for flashy activity. Her energy is subtle, but heavy with meaning. She belongs in a home where she’ll be left as she is, hair untouched, body ungroomed unless she requests it.
